Tatcha Rice Enzyme Polish Review for Dry Skin

An exfoliant that leaves the skin squeaky clean and tight may sound appealing to oily or combination skin types, but, in reality, harsh exfoliants that dry out the skin actually cause an increase in oil production. Overall, it is important for every skin type to have an exfoliant that is gentle and does not dry out the skin.

Tatcha, a Japanese beauty brand inspired by Geishas, recently released their new Rice Enzyme Polish formulas, which are specifically curated toward each skin type. For the longest time, they only sold their normal skin formula, which never dried out my notoriously dry skin, but I made sure to immediately purchase their new dry skin formula ASAP, when it released.

The Tatcha Gentle Rice Enzyme Polish, formulated for dry skin, actually contains Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, AKA Licorice Root Extract. This ingredient works to soothe and repair dry, damaged skin and the Tatcha Dry Skin Rice Enzyme Powder does exactly that.

This product starts in a powder form and contains small particles of rice bran used to exfoliate the skin. The formula becomes a creamy consistency after it’s activated by water and you can feel the small particles of rice bran gently exfoliating the skin. I found the formula was so creamy and soothing that it almost felt as if I was moisturizing my skin as I was exfoliating! Also, I found this exfoliant to be so gentle that I even use a little on my lips when they were feeling quite chapped.

Although the price point is a bit high, this product is trustworthy, effective, and will last you a very long time. I have had my Tatcha Classic Polish for over 6 months, which has ultimately saved me more money than repurchasing an exfoliant each month.

The Tatcha Rice Enzyme Polishes are perfectly curated towards each skin type and will never leave the skin dried out, so definitely give them a try!

Thank you again for reading and I hope this has helped you to begin feeling more comfortable in your own skin.
